I’m probably behind the curve on this one, but Dack Ragus, the creator of such dotcom-boom-era classics as the Web Economy Bullshit Generator and Flash is Evil is posting new stuff again at his namesake domain. He has a new project too, cin-o-matic, a metacritic-like tool specifically for movies. Nice.
Twice this weekend I heard Calexico at a restaurant, once at the Slow Club and another at Tartine. I’m convinced that Calexico is the new Thievery Corporation. I used to hear The Mirror Conspiracy everywhere I went in SF. Great album, but played to death. New albums from TC (The Outernational Sound), and Calexico (Convict Pool), have received mixed reviews.
