A few things learned on this trip: Pencils are made of incense cedar; Wherever I camp there’s guaranteed to be a family with a grumpy two-year old in the tent adjacent to mine; The Valley Loop trail really isn’t; I can’t afford the rooms at the Ahwahnee Hotel; There’s always a trail less travelled, and it’s always better; You need to reserve a spot early for the shuttle bus to Glacier Point; Degnan’s Pizza Loft should have tent delivery service; Yosemite will always be more beautiful than you remembered it.
