Netflix now has previews for its movies. Seems like a no-brainer in hindsight, but I’m sure it was no small task. A cursory look seems to indicate that there are previews for most of the titles. Even if they only have clips for two thirds, that’s still 16,500 titles. Very impressive. If Netflix opened up the previews to non-members, they could turn their site into a destination on par with IMDB, but I’m guessing the increased server and bandwidth costs would outweigh the added revenue from new customer sign-ups.
Along with a few new UI niceties, they’ve also added a “Move to Top of Queue” button after you add a movie to your list.
